Opening Day Fishing 2010

Wyatt's big catch. He and Daddy enjoyed the day together at the Lake. Wyatt was so excited that he was able to fish all by himself this year. He is Mr. Independent these days! When a fish would bite his pole Lee would yell "reel" and Wyatt would reel as fast as his arms would go. He was so proud when they arrived home to show off his catch. Wyatt stayed right in the action as Lee cleaned the fish, he wanted to help with everything! Lee fried them up and Wyatt ate his entire dinner and then said, " yum, yum, better than fish sticks!"

Taylor riding his quad, that he got for Christmas, in the field behind our house. He's quite the rider and takes it pretty easy...but I'm sure that won't last too long. Before you know it he'll be trying to convince Dad to build him a full blown track equipped with jumps!

Sugar Cookies

The boys had a blast helping me bake and decorate these tasty treats. They were both so creative, and each cookie turned into a masterpiece. We made three dozen to share with friends and family. They were a real hit!

Pumpkin Patch 09

We had beautiful Fall weather for our annual visit to the Country Mercantile Pumpkin Patch. I must say that the festivities get better each year that we go. It started with just a hayride to the patch, a small petting zoo, and a few small booths with various activities. This year we were overwhelmed with all of the fun activities to choose from! Hayride, straw bale pyramid, petting zoo, bouncy house, and even carnival rides to name just a few. Each of the boys found the perfect pumpkin and wore themselves out on the bouncy house. What a great day.

Every year Lee and I try to take the boys to have their pictures taken around their Birthday. This year our plan was to take them to Ahmann's for "Celebrate Summer, Kid's Day Photos." As every parent knows much preparation is needed prior to photos: scheduling the date, haircuts, new shirts, etc. Well, we were ready! When we arrived at the parking lot of the photo studio we were very excited that there was no line. In fact, no other cars even. We were there 10 min early and the first to arrive. (That never happens with us). When we walked into the studio the receptionist informed us that there had been a medical emergency and they had to reschedule Kid's Photo Day.

We were totally bummed, as were the kids. Since the kids were all clean and ready for pics we decided to take them to the park and wing it. Lee and I took turns behind the lens, and this is what we got. Not to bad for total amateurs and a cheap digital camera. We took pictures at 10:00am, went home...downloaded and cropped......e-mailed our order to Walmart 1Hour, and had 8x10's framed and on the wall by 5:00pm. Just in time for our guest to see them at the Birthday Party an hour later.
